The flat-bottom (box) pouch folds into a rectangular block, so it stands square, stacks neatly on a pallet and gives you four side panels plus a top and bottom to print on. That extra printable area is why premium kibble brands use it — the pack carries a full ingredient story without looking crowded.
It also carries weight better than a stand-up pouch. For 5 kg and 10 kg fills the flat base spreads the load, so the pack does not lean or crease in transit. We size the base gusset against your fill weight rather than reusing a stock die.

For wet or semi-moist products we usually recommend a retort structure instead, which survives sterilisation without delaminating.
