Four corner seals give a genuinely rigid pack that holds its square under heavy fills.
A quad seal bag adds two corner seals to the side gusset, which locks the sides out and produces a rigid rectangular pack. It resists bulging under 10 kg and 20 kg fills where a stand-up pouch would round out, and the flat sides stack tightly without wasted pallet space.
That rigidity costs a little film and a heavier seal pattern, so we balance seal width against fill weight rather than using one spec for every size. For very heavy fills we also add a reinforced base gusset.

Choose quad seal when the fill is heavy enough that a flat-bottom pouch rounds out, or when pallet cube efficiency matters more than printable panel area.
Yes — patch or die-cut handles are common from 10 kg upward, and we load-test the handle before production.
Usually a similar gauge; the rigidity comes from the seal geometry rather than thickness. We confirm with a fill test.
