One material family, one recycling stream — without giving up kibble protection.
Conventional pet food laminates bond PET, aluminium and PE together, which gives excellent barrier and makes the pack unrecyclable, because the layers cannot be separated. A mono-material pouch uses a single polymer family so the whole pack can go into one stream.
The hard part is barrier. Strip out the aluminium and the PET and oxygen transmission climbs, so the film stack has to earn it back. We test stacks by oxygen transmission and run accelerated shelf-life trials before recommending one.

No. Being mono-material is a prerequisite, not a certification. Whether a pack is accepted depends on the local stream, the pack size and the labelling programme. Ask us for the current documentation on the specific structure.
It depends on the stack. Our high-barrier mono-PE builds hold under 0.5 cc/m²/day, which suits dry kibble. For very high-fat or long-life products, foil may still be the honest answer.
Usually not — mono-PE runs on the same form-fill-seal equipment with adjusted seal temperature and pressure. We supply the recommended settings.
