A spout pouch replaces the seal with a fitment, so the pack can be opened and reclosed repeatedly without a tear line failing. For wet food in gravy, broths, nutrition paste and supplements it removes the need to decant into a bowl or a jug.
The engineering is in the fitment weld. A spout that is welded to the wrong film stack leaks at the shoulder under pressure, so we specify the fitment and the seal parameters together and pressure-test the finished pouch.
